Zapotec rugs from Oaxaca, Mexico, are wool flatweaves in stepped geometric designs, woven on a treadle loom in natural and bright dyes. They are light, reversible and lie flat.
Mat size: a doorway, a bathroom, a child's reading corner or a wall piece.
Vacuum on low suction and turn it over now and then; both faces are finished. Have it washed by a rug cleaner, not a carpet cleaner, when it needs it.
